Save the Date: Interfaith Community Breakfast

This year’s Interfaith Community Breakfast is returning to its usual Spring timeframe: Wednesday, May 15, 2024, and its long-time familiar space: Bingemans.

Doors open at 7:00 a.m.

Program starts at 7:30

You are welcome to continue your conversations after the program ends at 8:30.

Breakfast will be available throughout.

This year’s topic is Belonging.

It’s easy to see that widespread loneliness, rising polarization, and growing social and economic inequities are reaching epidemic proportions.

Our connections, our care for each other, our sense of community, are all facing a crisis.

Promoting a deep sense of belonging, where everyone feels connected, supported, included, valued and safe, is an important way to address this crisis.

The program will include a panel of individuals who work to support belonging:

Paula Whitlow is Director, Truth & Reconciliation with Region of Waterloo;

Zohra Wali is Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator with City of Cambridge;

Geraldine Stafford is Manager, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion with Waterloo Region Police Services.

Janet Howitt, a long-time member of the Breakfast planning committee and former Coordinator of the Belonging Steering Group at Immigration Partnership Waterloo Region will act as moderator.

Their discussion will be one you won’t want to miss.

So mark your calendar now and watch for further news.

Tickets will be available by April 1.
