Something very important to our focus on Interfaith action and awareness is the new campaign in Waterloo Region, “We All Belong Here.” This campaign is about addressing hate, harm and building a community where everyone feels safe to be their true selves and is celebrated for who they are.  It has been two weeks since the campaign launched.  Let’s keep the momentum going. Here’s how you can support the campaign:

  •   Learn more: Visit the campaign website (webelongwr.ca) to take the pledge and check out the short launch video to hear what some of the Combatting Hate Action Table members shared about the campaign.

  • Visit the Campaign Toolkit that includes downloadable posters and social media graphics that you can use to amplify the campaign with your networks.

  • Get involved: Attend a community activation event across Waterloo Region. You can explore the list of upcoming events here or reach out to cswp@regionofwaterloo.ca to host your own event.

  • Share and stand by the key messages: Hate is not ok. Name it. Report it.

  • Complete a short anonymous survey: Help us evaluate the We all belong here campaign by sharing your thoughts and understanding about hate and discrimination in Waterloo Region.

  • Show your support! Purchase a We all belong here lawn sign ($8.10+HST), available November 13 and onwards (while supplies last) in multiple languages at Grand River Transit customer service:

    • 105 King St. E., Kitchener I Mon-Fri 8-6, Weekends 9:30am-5pm

    • 35 Ainslie St. S., Cambridge I Mon-Fri 8:30-6, Weekends 9:30am-5pm

We’re very grateful to have you with us on this journey. Together we can create a Waterloo Region where We all belong here.

Thank you,

Fauzia Baig, Cheryl Grove and the Combatting Hate Action Table
