Call for Speakers

44th World Religions Conference

Peace and Greetings,

Continuing a proud Canadian tradition spanning 44 years, we are pleased to announce that the 44th World Religions Conference will be held on:

Sunday, November 22, 2026

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (tentative)

Venue

Lazaridis Hall Auditorium

Wilfrid Laurier University

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Conference Theme

From Battlegrounds to Common Ground

Resolving the Conflicts Before the End

This year's theme calls upon faith communities to address one of the most urgent challenges of our time. Armed conflicts continue to devastate nations, displace populations, and threaten global peace and security. At a time when humanity faces increasing division and uncertainty, the need for dialogue, understanding, and moral leadership has never been greater.

Representatives from eight major faith and philosophical traditions will share their perspectives on how spiritual teachings, ethical principles, and lived experiences can help prevent conflict, promote reconciliation, and build lasting peace.

The objective of the World Religions Conference is to bring together scholars, religious leaders, and thinkers from diverse faiths and philosophical traditions in a spirit of mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation.

Call for Speakers

We invite nominations of distinguished scholars and speakers representing the following traditions:
