We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping us recruit Cultural Ambassadors for the Cultures United: A Global Journey of Food, Stories, and Connections, taking place during the 4th Annual Multicultural Festival of Elmira on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Our Cultural Ambassadors are at the heart of this event, creating an immersive and interactive cultural experience for attendees of all ages. They help festival-goers experience the richness of cultures from around the world by sharing personal stories, traditions, artifacts, music, food, and other meaningful elements of their heritage.

How You Can Help

We would greatly appreciate your assistance in:

  • Sharing this opportunity with your organization and community networks

  • Identifying individuals, families, or cultural groups who may be interested

  • Encouraging community leaders, newcomers, and cultural representatives to apply

What Ambassadors Receive

  • $250 honorarium in recognition of their participation

  • Up to $200 reimbursement for snacks, cultural activities, and supplies

  • Full planning and logistical support from our team

  • Printing assistance for educational materials and displays

What Ambassadors Will Do

Create an engaging cultural experience by sharing:

  • Stories and traditions

  • Cultural artifacts, clothing, and artwork

  • Music and performances

  • Traditional snacks, spices, or foods

  • Interactive activities that invite visitors to learn and connect

Together, these experiences allow visitors to journey around the world without ever leaving Gibson Park.
