The Golden Thread in Our Faith Journeys

In our recent reflection session, participants explored four simple questions: the Spark, the Desert, the Evolution, and the Anchor. Though the stories were deeply personal and wonderfully diverse, something quietly familiar began to emerge.
Many of us first encountered meaning through moments of wonder. In nature, in kindness, in silence, or in being truly seen. Most of us also knew seasons of doubt, dryness, or loss, times that stripped away certainty but gently deepened humility and compassion. Over time, many of us experienced a shift in how we understood ourselves and our faith, from rigid boundaries toward openness, respect, and shared humanity. And beneath all change, each of us carried an anchor, a practice, a value, or a truth that helped us return to ourselves again and again.
Different faiths. Different languages. Different life stories. Yet a similar human journey.
We now invite you to continue this reflection by sharing your own words through a Google Form. Your responses will help to create the "golden thread" that connects individual faith journeys, and will be used to create a Golden Rule poster for Interfaith Grand River. Not to define belief, but to honour lived experience.
